New Citizen Highlight: Joel Samuels
While Stanley Steemer was founded in Columbus, Ohio and continues to operate across the US, we’re proud to provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds. In this series, we’re highlighting some of our outstanding employees as they reach the milestone of becoming United States citizens.
First, we have Joel Samuels, who plays a crucial role in the marketing department’s analytics and recently became a US citizen. Keep reading to hear his story.
My family moved to the United States because my dad got a job at The Ohio State University, the same college I graduated from just a few years ago.
7. What does it mean to you to be a US citizen? How significant is this for you and your family?
It’s huge. My parents both have their US citizenship, and my sister was born here so she does too, which means I was the odd one out. I’m glad I could finally get it done. I am also looking forward to exercising some of the rights reserved only for US citizens and fulfilling my responsibilities as a US citizen.
Everyone at Steemer congratulated me when I obtained my citizenship. They were also very supportive and kind as I went through the process.
9. Bonus Question for Ariana Synder, Marketing Director: What has it been like to work with Joel? How has he impacted the company during his time at Steemer?
Joel has grown tremendously since starting as an intern, evolving into a truly valuable team member. His dedication and strategic thinking have helped shape the way we operate, driving results and improving our workflows. His eagerness to learn and challenge himself has not only taught me valuable lessons but has also strengthened our approach.
Congratulations, Joel! We’re all so proud and excited for you in this milestone.
